Sprint has announced its 4G network in the US. The service will initially be provided in Las Vagas in August 2009. Infact, according to Sprint, customers will be able to access peak data rates of more than 10Mps and normal speeds of 3-6Mbps. Mobile internet surfers wanting the high speed connectivity will have to pay more expenses.
Sprint is the first US national carrier to test and launch 4G wireless technology. Other cities promised for 4G connectivity laterly include Portland in Oregon and Atlanta in Georgia also in August and Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Seattle and Honolulu later in the year.
New York, Bouston, Houston and San Francisco are all sceduled to get 4G service in 2010. No word on pricing and exact dates are also to be confirmed.
