CrunchPad was the first ever tablet we got excited about. It was a dream touchscreen slate. May be Indians were not happy with a peaceful success of the device so they shot a whole round of revolver in CrunchPad’s head and buried its body. Not really, in fact they kidnapped it and are now selling it with the name of “Joojoo”. It seems that the iPad borrowed a lot from CrunchPad, like the name “iPad” rivaling the name “CrunchPad” and $499 price. We didn’t hear about the device lately but they are on the scene once again. Joojoo is in production now (as far as we are told).
Chandra, creator of Joojoo says that a Malaysian company is funding them for production for only a one figure percentage of the revenue. May be, but I don’t seem to believe it because Joojoo is evil by birth. Not only that but Chandra is using unlicensed Avatar images for its promotion. How can I believe them when they say that they’ve increased number of orders after iPad launch? How’d I believe them that they won’t deceive me if I need to claim the warranty?
Yeah, Joojoo plays flash in 720p HD but I don’t think it’s a big deal because Joojoo is based on open source OS (obviously some Linux flavor) so not only it’d play flash but also multitask.
