Bose has announced a new wireless music system for distant audio listening. According to company’s claim, the system works through most of the walls and floors. No wi-fi is required, instead it has its on radio frequency connectivity. All you need to do is to connect a USB device to your computer and that’s all. Place the system far away and enjoy. It has a touch sensitive infrared remote control as well as touch sensitive on-device controls to choose, forward, rewind and skip tracks.
It has also got a built-in lithium-ion battery which is promised to perform well for three hours at the highest volume. The SoundLink ™ system features a proprietary acoustics package, which combines exclusive Bose waveguide speaker technology and neodymium transducers to deliver room-filling, high-quality audio from a very small enclosure.
The new Bose wireless audio system is basically designed to work with a computer but it has got an added compatibility with PMPs including iPhone and iPod, though it is not stated that how these devices are connected to the speaker system.
Good news is that it will be available throughout US starting from 27th August at Bose stores and its authorized dealers. Bad news on the other hand is that it may not be in reach of many geeks, as it is priced at $549.95. At least, I’m out of the buyers list!

Awesome xD What’s the probable range of this wireless system ? Surely covers the home but just curious
@Zawad yea, we can hope so… but Bose has not mentioned that… lets wait for the release. I am out of the buyers list but I guess you are buying one
