We have been waiting for an iPad alternative from the Android-o-sphere. Dell streak was just an MID, couldn’t be an iPad killer. No other option was around. It was hard to wait for many guys who don’t have any affection for Apple gadgetry. No more wait guys. It is nearly here!

Very much unlikely, it was not HTC, it was not Dell to bring something for us. It happens to be a company which has made the entry into the Android-o-sphere much later than others. Yea, Samsung!

Samsung has already done great with Galaxy S series Android smartphones. They have been one of the most successful products of Samsung. So they’ve now decided to take their Android love to next level. Obviously with a tablet. I am impressed with Samsung’s progress. The speed of research and development seems very much faster than Apple and HTC. They not only brought several vibrant phones in a little time but also worked on a fresh out-of-the-oven (or deep freezer?) only-for-tab Froyo. We’d talk about the Froyo freezed for Samsung Galaxy Tab in a post later today. For now, you’ve got a great news. The launch date!

We have now the official release date of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. It is September 2nd!. Just a little more than an week. But it is really worth the wait. The announcement and details will be made available at the IFA event in Berlin Germany on September 2nd. I don’t know why have they chosen Germany for the announcement. Is Germany going to be the first market? What about rest of the Europe? What about the Americas? We’ll have to wait for the answers. Stay tuned.
