Paul O’Brien from modaco.com has successfully rooted Google Nexus One. It is done by using fastboot to flash a modified boot.img. Also, the root has been tested and is confirmed to be working fine.
Lo! How is it possible for a phone that is not yet released? Well, these folks have a source who got them access to the Nexus one.
You may not be much excited because you don’t own the phone yet, but I am! Because I can expect a mod to enable multitouch on the lovely Nexus One, which I’ll definitely be buying as soon as it comes out!
