Layar 3D
Augmented reality browser was itself a ground breaking Android app, I was expecting that Layar will add augmented reality browsing support for more areas of the world but they have instead focused on improving the product. Now Layer supports 3D objects. Layar will also be releasing an API to let developers develop on Layar’s technology, they will be able to add 3D abjects to their applications, tag and link them.

Layar 3D
Layar 3D is built over OpenGL and it uses accelerometer, GPS and the compass of your Android gadget to provide a 3D experience. It supports live downloading and rendering of the 3D objects and assign actions to them like “play music” or “open link”. Starting from November 09, Layar 3D is only for developers which is not a bad news at all. It is rather a good news because we will soon be able to have a lot 3D augmented reality applications from several developers.
