So its the third important news about the Zune HD this week. First, there were some leaked photos, later we saw the video of the UI and now the release date and price have been leaked.

Gizmodo got a glimpse of the screen capture of bestbuy’s inventory for Zune HD and its now nearly confirmed that Microsoft’s portable media player is is going to be released on September 8th via BestBuy. The 16GB model will be available for $220 and the 32GB for $290. Many folks are considering Zune better than iPod touch since it has an 720p HD video out along with other features but according to many rumors, Apple is also working to improve iPod touch by including camera and microphone.

Zune HD is most probably based on Windows CE 7 so it may be a close relative of Windows Mobile cell phones with some additional features. The UI, however looks clean and clutter-free in the video.
